E-Waste Disposal Process
Collection From Enquiry Centers
E-waste must be kept separate from regular household waste. It should be disposed of responsibly through designated recycling bins, authorized drop-off centers, or take-back programs provided by retailers or local authorities.
Sorting and Dismantling
Once Collected , carefully sorted based on its type—such as computers, mobile phones, or household appliances. It is then dismantled by trained professionals to recover reusable components like circuit boards, metals, and plastics.
Shredding and Material Separation
Once dismantled, the remaining e-waste is fed into shredding machines that break it down into smaller fragments. These fragments then go through advanced separation processes eg.magnetic, eddy current, and optical sorting—to isolate various materials like metals.
Safe Disposal of Hazardous Materials
Hazardous materials like mercury, cadmium, and lead are handled and disposed of safely to prevent environmental contamination.
